4. The "CoWriter AI" plugin updated: The CoWriter plugin, which uses AI to help you write letters from your prompt, now uses GPT-4 — improving both performance and suggestion quality.

Here is a recap of what was covered during the webinar as well as some of the questions that were asked.

  • Rollup fields

Timestamps can be found for each of these sections in the video description.

Q/A

How can I access the contact list view in lightning?

To access the list view, follow these simple steps. 1. Make sure you’re in lightning mode. 2. On the top navigation bar click “Contacts (new)”. If you have any trouble finding the page, please reach out to support and we will help you out.

What actions are available?

On the new lightning list view you will find all the actions you are familiar with from the old view, as well as additional options and features that are only available in lightning. Click here to learn more.

What’s the benefit of the new contacts list view in lightning?

There are a lot of reasons why this new page is superior to the old one, here are just a few:

  • You can now customize the page to a far greater degree.
  • Add and remove columns of your choosing.
  • Basic and advanced filters.
  • Save your list view for easy access and future use. You can also share your list view with other shluchim using the list view gallery.

There’s much more, be sure to check out our resources on lighting to see additional features.

What is the “List View Gallery”? How does it work?

You might be familiar with the Templates Gallery, a place where shluchim can create and share templates with each other. You can now do that with our lightning list view. Once you create a list view and save it to your CRM, if you feel it’s something other shluchim can benefit from, simply upload it to the list view gallery. Also, be sure to check out the gallery to see if other shluchim created list views that you can benefit from. Click here to learn more about it.

Is this new list view available for households as well?

All of our pages will be converted to lightning pages, including the households list view. Right now, they are still in testing. The Contacts List view, though, is fully tested and ready for use. It’s a perfect place to get familiar with the new page layout so you’ll be ready when we convert the rest of our pages to lightning.

What are rollup fields?

A roll-up summary field calculates values from related records, such as income records related to a contact, and sums up a field or a record count. You can learn more about rollup fields here.

I see that the income rollup fields only work for tax deductible donations, how do I set the tax deductible settings?

To set what types of incomes in your CRM are tax deductible, in the navigation bar click on the Settings tab. On the left side  you will see the “Financial settings” tab. Click on  the tab and you will then be able to check which income types are tax deductible. Be sure to save your changes.

I have an idea for a rollup field that I would like to see in my CRM and believe other shluchim can benefit from, what do I do?

Please reach out to us with your idea and if we can implement it, we would be more than happy to do so for you and all shluchim using ChabadOne CRM.

Kislev Release

Dear Shliach,

We hope you and your family are well.

It’s Kinus season and while things might be different this year, you can still feel the excitement in the air. Speaking of excitement, we are extremely excited to announce another major update in the transition to our new and improved lightning interface.

Making ChabadOne CRM as easy as possible to use - so you can spend more time with your community and less time entering data - has always been our top goal, and this is another major step forward in that direction.

In this update you will now be able to access the new “Contact List (Beta)” page. Please note that this page is in beta mode and might be missing a few features that were not implemented yet (most notably, creating new smart groups). Click here to learn more about the features of this page.

To access the new Contact List page, make sure you’re in lightning, go to your tabs (waffle menu) and search and click on “Contact List (Beta)”. While using the new page, please let us know if you encounter any issues or if you have any ideas on how to improve it.

Here are some highlights for other items that were included in this release:

  • New Financial Settings Page

      • You can now easily update what types of incomes in your CRM are tax deductible by going to the Settings tab and clicking on “Financial settings”. When you make an update on this page, all incomes with that type will be updated accordingly, making it easier to report on what is and isn’t tax deductible. Click here to see how to track tax deductible donations in your CRM.

  • Fixes - Envelopes and Email Logs
  • We fixed an alignment issue with envelopes so that the address prints in the correct spot.
  • We updated the email log CSV you receive after sending out bulk emails, to have more information about the recipient.
  • New CRM Training Sessions

    • Click here to learn more about using Events & Campaigns in CRM
    • Click here to learn more about our ChabadOne CRM mobile app the great features you can do on the go!

This is one of many great new updates coming your way. There are more major updates already in the works and we can’t wait to share them with you. We want to thank everyone for all the feedback and great ideas you give us, please keep them coming.

Wishing you and your family a healthy and safe week.

Sincerely,

The ChabadOne CRM Team
